Mile High Pie

The Mile High Pie is a recipe that originates from the Inanimate Insanity Invitational episode "Best Served Cold". In the original version, it is a pie made up of an unspecified crust, a mile high stack of ice cream, and a topping of whipped cream and a cherry. AnimationEpic made a short-form video later that explains the mile high pie. We, of course, despite all our efforts, cannot make a pie that is genuinely a mile tall, so 12 layers is what the original recipe calls for. This version will have two variations, one that is simpler to consume as one person and the original mentioned recipe. The link to the Youtube version of AnimationEpic's recipe can be found Here.

So what do you need, anyways?

This list should contain everything you need to make the Mile High Pie. One tub of ice cream should be enough for the large version, and a quarter of an ice cream tub should be enough for the small one.

Okay then, how do I make a mile high pie?

Step 1: For the first day, Rearrange each ice cream container into 3 rectangular disposable tins, one for each flavor. Freeze this overnight or until the ice cream is frozen harder than it was when you brought it home.
Step 2: The next day, cut the ice cream into 1/4th sized squares and refreeze until later. In about an hour to overnight, prepare the crust by blending together the butter and Oreos or other desirable chocolate sandwich cookie. Press this down flat into a container one quarter the size of your ice cream tins. Repeat this process with however many crusts you need to make. This may make more crust than you need.
Step 3: Take the ice cream out of the freezer and place the slabs on top of one another in the desired order on top of the crust. When this is done, you may choose to use all 12 for the classic video version, or adapt it to a smaller amount by just adding one layer of all three kinds. You may then enjoy your mile high pie.
